{"id":26,"date":"2024-02-23T16:51:08","date_gmt":"2024-02-23T14:51:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/toprent.ee.psdev.lv\/?page_id=26"},"modified":"2024-06-19T13:58:33","modified_gmt":"2024-06-19T10:58:33","slug":"terms-of-reservation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/toprent.ee.psdev.lv\/en\/terms-of-reservation\/","title":{"rendered":"Terms of Reservation"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">What is needed for vehicle pick-up?<\/h2>\n<p>When picking up the vehicle the lessee should present a\u00a0 valid credit card, identification card or passport and a valid driver\u2019s license.<br \/>\nThe credit card needs to have enough available funds to cover the rental charges and deposit amount. The amount of the deposit (preauthorization) depends on the price of the rental, the vehicle type, and category, as well as the chosen coverage.<br \/>\nThe credit card can be charged for any extra costs that can appear during the rental period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Terms of payment<\/strong><br \/>\nFor the authorization process, we accept credit cards such as MasterCard and Visa Card. We do not accept American Express or Diners Club cards, prepaid or electron cards (Visa Electron, Maestro) for the authorization process.<\/p>\n<p>The lessee must be the owner of the credit card.<br \/>\nThe rental costs can be paid with a credit or debit\u00a0 card, pre-paid or electron cards, as well as cash.<br \/>\nBear in mind that payment with a card may require your pin code.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drivers\u00a0<\/strong><b>License<\/b><br \/>\nThe client, as well as any additional drivers, need to be in possession of a valid driver\u2019s license for at least one full year. Please refer to Age limitations below.<br \/>\nDrivers licenses that are not printed in the Roman alphabet (Arabian, Japanese, Cyrillic) need to be accompanied by an international driver\u2019s license.<br \/>\nAt vehicle pick-up please present a valid identification card or passport alongside a valid driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Age limitations<\/strong><br \/>\nIn Latvia, the following minimum lessee age required and drivers license-possession are followed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>19 years old\/1 year for vehicles in groups Mini, Economy,<\/li>\n<li>21 years old\/2 years for vehicles in groups Compact, Intermediate, Compact Elite.<\/li>\n<li>25 years old \/3 years for vehicles in groups Standart, SUV, passenger van.<\/li>\n<li>A young\/senior drivers fee of 7 \u20ac per day if the driver is below 21 or above 80 years of age.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Rental and grace period<\/strong><br \/>\nVehicles are rented on a daily basis. There is a 59-minute grace period that is not charged. After 60 minutes, a whole day of usage is applied.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Changes in the reservation<\/strong><br \/>\nReservations can be modified up to 48 hours before the rental period. This includes changing the pick-up and drop-off time, cancelation, adding additional equipment and services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reservation cancellation<\/strong><br \/>\nA booking can be cancelled free of charge 48 hours before the start of the rental. In the event of cancellation, the payment already made towards the rental will be refunded.<br \/>\nIf the booking is cancelled in less than 48 hours of the rental start the cancellation charge shall be the amount of the rental charge ( including any extras and<br \/>\ncharges) for 1 rental day.<br \/>\nThe cancellation should be made online or in written form via e-mail to &#105;n&#x66;o&#x40;&#116;&#x6f;&#112;&#x72;&#101;n&#x74;&#46;&#x6c;&#118;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No-show<\/strong><br \/>\nA \u2018No-show\u2019 is when you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>wish to cancel but don\u2019t tell us before your rental is due to start,<\/li>\n<li>fail to pick the car up at the arranged time and date,<\/li>\n<li>fail to provide the documentation that\u2019s required to pick the car up,<\/li>\n<li>fail to provide a credit card in the main driver\u2019s name with enough available funds on it.<\/li>\n<li>In all of these cases, you\u2019ll receive no refund of the money you\u2019ve paid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>SIA Toprent reserves the right to refuse the car to any customer who fails to arrive on time with all necessary documentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car\u2019s deposit. In such a case, unless the rental has been cancelled in advance, the customer will not be entitled to a refund.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unacceptable behavior:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe rental location may refuse to rent to you if you or anyone in your party behaves in an unacceptable manner, e.g., if they believe that the driver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol or you, or anyone in your party, is abusive or threatening to their teams or to the customers.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">General terms of coverage<\/h2>\n<p>At vehicle pick up it is important to choose some type of extra coverage, there are different coverage packages which are adjusted to your needs and abilities, from decreased damage excess to no excess at all.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CDW<\/strong><br \/>\nCollision Damage Waiver limits the driver\u2019s responsibility for damages done to the vehicle. The customer is only responsible for the following amounts:<br \/>\n1000,00 \u20ac (MDMN, MDMR, EDMN, EDMR)<br \/>\n1200,00 \u20ac (CDMN, CDMR, CDAR, CGMR, CGAV, CGMV, CGAR, CWMR, CWAR, IDMR, IDAR)<br \/>\n1500,00 \u20ac (SDMR, SDAR, IGMV, IGAV, FFMR, FFAR)<br \/>\n2000,00 \u20ac(PLAV, SVMR, FVMR)<\/p>\n<p>The damage done to the vehicle will be charged according to the repair estimate. Every damage case is reviewed individually.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft protection (TP)<\/strong><br \/>\nTheft protection (TP) limits the driver\u2019s responsibility in cases of vehicle theft or damages done due to theft or attempted theft to the excess amount, which is subject to the terms of the rental agreement. TP does not cover personal belongings:<br \/>\n1000,00 \u20ac (MDMN, MDMR, EDMN, EDMR)<br \/>\n1200,00 \u20ac (CDMN, CDMR, CDAR, CGMR, CGAV, CGMV, CGAR, CWMR, CWAR, IDMR, IDAR)<br \/>\n1500,00 \u20ac (SDMR, SDAR, IGMV, IGAV, FFMR, FFAR)<br \/>\n2000,00 \u20ac(PLAV, SVMR, FVMR)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Partial CDW +<\/strong><br \/>\nPartial Collision Damage Waiver plus reduces the damage excess to the following limits:<br \/>\n500,00 \u20ac (MDMN, MDMR, EDMN, EDMR)<br \/>\n600,00 \u20ac (CDMN, CDMR, CDAR, CGMR, CGAV, CGMV, CGAR, CWMR, CWAR, IDMR, IDAR)<br \/>\n800,00 \u20ac (SDMR, SDAR, IGMV, IGAV, FFMR, FFAR)<br \/>\n1000,00 \u20ac(PLAV, SVMR, FVMR)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)<\/strong><br \/>\nis coverage that reduces responsibility to 0 in case of damage to the vehicle exterior, glass and tyres.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In case of a traffic accident, theft, breakdown or similar the client is obliged to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>keep the vehicle safe until the time it is picked up by the lessor<\/li>\n<li>take the names and addresses of every witness and participant<\/li>\n<li>call the police and procure their record except in the case of motor breakdown<\/li>\n<li>give a statement as soon as possible in the nearest office of the lessor<\/li>\n<li>In the case that the user does not procure a police report, all accepted coverages such as TP \/ CDW, CDW + or SCDW are considered invalid due to the client\u2019s failure to comply with the provisions of the rental agreement and general terms and conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Costs that are not covered by Toprent and cannot be covered by any additional coverage<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><\/li>\n<li>Loss or theft of luggage and or personal items from the vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Parking tickets or fines, traffic violations and such<\/li>\n<li>Costs due to the wrong fuel type usage<\/li>\n<li>Expenses for lost, stolen or damaged car keys<\/li>\n<li>Expenses for lost, stolen or damaged car documents<\/li>\n<li>Expenses due to negligence \u2013 empty battery<\/li>\n<li>Expenses due to damage to the car\u2019s interior<\/li>\n<li>Costs of lost equipment (spare tire, tire repair kit, bunker shelves, document etui, driver\u2019s manual)<\/li>\n<li>Expenses due to damage to additional equipment<\/li>\n<li>Expenses due to car misuse<\/li>\n<li>Expenses to the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs<\/li>\n<li>Costs of car extraction from inaccessible areas (e.g. extraction from mud due to traveling outside regular road infrastructure)<\/li>\n<li>Expenses incurred by using dirt roads<\/li>\n<li>Expenses incurred by car racing or cars participation in sport events<\/li>\n<li>Expenses due to overburdening the car with people or cargo<\/li>\n<li>Damage costs caused by a person not stated in the contract as the main or additional driver<\/li>\n<li>Costs created in cases when the main driver or additional driver stated in the rental contract does not have a valid driver\u2019s license or has a ban on driving motor vehicles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other: damaged windscreen wipers or locks, loss or theft of outside parts of the vehicle without a police record, damage costs incurred by usage of roof carriers or luggage on carriers, damage caused by improper handling of luggage and or putting cargo or luggage on the roof, hood etc., as well as expenses caused by ignoring sound and visual warnings of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Delivery &amp; Collection<\/h2>\n<p>Delivery\/Collection must be arranged during the reservation process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>During Opening Hours<\/strong><br \/>\nDelivery\/Collection is an on-request service. Please contact the nearest Toprent office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Delivery\/Collection within city limits<\/strong><br \/>\n30 Eur for distance up to 10km from Riga Airport office + 2,0 Eur for every additional km<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outside city limits<\/strong><br \/>\nOn request<\/p>\n<p><strong>Delivery or collection to J\u016brmala<\/strong><br \/>\n30 Eur for distance up to 10km from Riga Airport office + 2,0 Eur for every additional km<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vehicle pick-up\/drop-off outside of working hours<\/strong><br \/>\nOn request<\/p>\n<p><strong>One-Way Rentals within Baltic States:<\/strong><br \/>\nFor the service of one-way vehicle rentals, the following fees are applied:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>R\u012bga \u2013 Vilnius 180 eur<\/li>\n<li>R\u012bga \u2013 Klaipeda\/Palanga 180 eur<\/li>\n<li>R\u012bga \u2013 Kaunas 180 eur<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Additional equipment and services<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Fuel options<\/strong><br \/>\nAll vehicles are rented with a full tank and need to be returned with a full tank.<br \/>\nIf the client returns the vehicle with less fuel he will be charged according to a valid price list. Refiling service will be applied.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Refuelling service<\/strong><br \/>\nIn case of missing fuel, a charge of fuel expenses by receipt + refuelling fee of 30,00 EUR will be applied.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additional Driver<\/strong><br \/>\nThe fee for an additional driver is 5,00 \u20ac per day or 35.00 \u20ac maximum per rental .<\/p>\n<p><strong>Young\/Senior driver charge<\/strong><br \/>\nA young\/senior drivers fee of 7.00 \u20ac per day in case if the driver is below 21 or above 80 years of age.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Seat<\/strong><br \/>\nA child seat is a legal obligation and needs to be used for children up to 12 years of age and 135 cm of height,<br \/>\nChoose the seat that best fits child age:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Baby seat (0-18 kg) \u2013 7,00 \u20ac per day (50,00 \u20ac max per rental)<\/li>\n<li>Child seat (15-36 kg) &#8211;\u00a0 7,00\u20ac per day (50,00 \u20ac max per rental)<\/li>\n<li>Booster seat (children height up to 135 cm) &#8211; 7,00 \u20ac per day (50,00 \u20ac max per rental)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GPS<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you decide to rent a navigation system with your vehicle, the following fees apply:<br \/>\n7,00 \u20ac\/daily (max per rental 50,00 \u20ac)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Administration fee<\/strong><br \/>\nThe lessee is responsible for settling any traffic and parking fine issued during the rental period.<br \/>\nIf payment of fines and any other penalties is performed by Toprent administration fee of 50,00 \u20ac\u00a0per fine is applied.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Damage handling fee &#8211; administration fee<\/strong><br \/>\nIf the lessee does not have any additional coverage package, and vehicle damage occurs, alongside the damage itself, an additional fee of 80.00 \u20ac will be applied.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vehicle pick-up\/drop-off in an office different from the one agreed upon in the rental contract<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIf the client decides to pick-up or return the vehicle to a location different from the one stated in the reservation or the rental contract, an additional fee of 100 \u20ac will be applied along with the one-way rental fee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lost key<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the case that the lessee has lost the car key, a fee of 600,00 \u20ac and more (depends on a vehicle model) will be applied.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lost documentation or registration plates<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the case of lost or stolen vehicle documentation\/registration plates, a fee of 150,00 \u20ac will be applied.<br \/>\nThe police report is mandatory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vehicle Cleaning<\/strong><br \/>\nCar cleaning fees. The cars are rented clean, and must be returned clean. If not, the following fees will apply:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>20.00 \u20ac dirty exterior charge,<\/li>\n<li>20.00 \u20ac dirty interior charge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Lessor also offers an additional service for cleaning the car, which can be ordered when booking a vehicle or at the rental desk.<br \/>\nIn case the vehicle requires a special cleaning procedure after drop off (i.e. smell removal, animal hair, spillage of liquids, deep cleaning), a minimum fee of 100.00 \u20ac will be charged.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Non smoking policy<\/strong><br \/>\nSmoking is not permitted in the vehicles. The penalty for smoking in the vehicle is 200,00 \u20ac.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Road taxes and fees<\/strong><br \/>\nAll tolls, parking and other costs are paid by the lessee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cross Border Fee<\/strong><br \/>\nDriving with rental car is allowed only within Baltic States countries &#8211; Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland and Poland.
